Holding onto what's about to change.

the in-between season.
This session felt a little different from the last time I was here. Same home, same rhythm, but with a deeper awareness of what’s shifting. Their first family home — the place where everything began — is soon to be left behind. And this time, there was someone we made sure to capture more of: their dog, their first, who’s nearing the end of his life.
We moved the same way we always do — no pressure, no forcing moments — but with a little more intention around what matters right now. A hand resting on his fur. The way he follows treats. The quiet, ordinary moments that don’t feel big until you realize they won’t always be there. Nothing staged, nothing overly directed. Just making space for it to be seen.
Because this is why these sessions matter. Not just to capture how life looks — but how it feels right before it changes. The home, the dog, the in-between season they’re living in. The kind of moments that don’t ask for attention, but end up meaning everything.
