Homeowner vs. Designer Perspective

One Space, Two Visions
This was one of those rare sessions where I photographed the same home twice — not because anything went wrong, but because two different perspectives desired to be captured. The homeowner, who uses the space as a vacation rental, and Maite Granda Design Studio each brought their own vision to the styling. Same foundation, completely different interpretations.
The shifts were subtle, but impactful. Art selections changed the tone of a room. Flowers introduced a different kind of movement. Even the choice of plates and cups altered how the space felt—more relaxed in one version, more refined in another. Nothing drastic, just thoughtful decisions that quietly reshaped the atmosphere.
And that’s what made it so interesting. There isn’t one “correct” way to present a space—just different ways to tell its story. Both versions worked. Both felt intentional. Just two lenses, layered over the same environment, each revealing something slightly different.
